Lyn puts good service and dedication above all else.
‘Help’ is her mantra, and nothing gives her more satisfaction than helping her teams grow and treating all of her clients with sincere care and respect.
“What I love about my job is that I can help new managers and show them the right way to do things and how to treat our clients. It’s great getting new people and teaching them new skills.”
Working as the State Operations Manager for NSW and ACT, Lyn can balance multiple clients and still work with a smile on her face.
She truly understands that showing care makes a huge difference.
“It can be as simple as just letting the client know that it’s a busy month. It’s so important to meet with the clients, have a chat and let them know that they are important to us.
They might not see us very much, but we still let them know that there is someone there who can support them and that they are an important client – it makes all the difference. I love meeting with my clients face to face, because it helps build a relationship.”
Lyn is no stranger to the business. She’s worked in hospitals for 23 years and during her career has been involved in various roles such as a Supervisor, Client Services Manager, Regional Manager and now State Operations Manager.
“I’ve learned to observe how the business works, what our people know and do, and it’s helped me to work myself up to new opportunities.”
For Lyn, she’s happy to be working under a supportive company like Facilities First.
“I really enjoy working with Facilities First because they really do care. They care about what you do. It’s so important to be able to work with a team that cares about what you do – without that support, it’s harder to do your job.”
When Lyn isn’t working, she enjoys collecting Marilyn Monroe memorabilia. She also loves animals and enjoys spending time with her three dogs and two cats. She also loves going on weekends away with her husband.
