The Injury Management & RTW Coordinator will work closely with our Head of HR and payroll and is responsible for managing all workers’ compensation matters nationally including, end to end claims management from early intervention, injury management, return to work planning and implementation.

Key Responsibilities of the role:

  • Managing workplace injuries and claims to achieve return to work and injury management outcomes
  • Ensuring that appropriate documentation and certificates are obtained in line with requirements
  • Working with the WHS team to ensure appropriate policies, procedures and systems are in place
  • Liaising with and managing external providers (e.g. insurers/agents, consultants, rehab, legal)
  • Providing training to operational staff to ensure management of incidents and injuries is completed
  • Review and Identifying of trends and liaising with WHS & Operational staff to achieve organisational goals
  • Review incidents and claims to determine appropriate injury management strategies

 

We are looking for someone who has

  • Return to Work Coordinator accreditation (compulsory)
  • Certificate IV WHS (desirable)
  • Extensive experience as a national RTW Coordinator/ Case Manager/ consultant
  • Experience managing claims and return to work across all jurisdictions
  • Excellent data base management and Microsoft Office Suite experience
  • Excellent communications and interpersonal skills
  • Effective negotiation skills and conflict resolution skills
